Your Great American World Cup Journey

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Your World Cup adventure will begin in Boston, as Match 5 of the tournament takes place at Gillette Stadium, the home of the NFL’s New England Patriots. Match 5 will be the first game of Group C in the tournament.

Boston is well known as one of, if not the most passionate city for sport in the US, so where better to start off? During your stay, you may choose to check out some famous Boston sporting venues, such as the Boston Celtics’ TD Garden arena or the famous home of the Red Sox, Fenway Park - the oldest active baseball stadium in the world.

But Boston’s got a lot more to offer than just sports. The city is brimming with culture, with activities on offer including the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, Fine Arts Museum and a tour of Harvard University. Plus, Bostonians are very proud of their food, giving you the chance to try some local delicacies like clam chowder and a Boston cream pie.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Match 20 involving group J will see you travel over to California’s Bay Area. San Francisco, home of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city’s historic cable cars, is home to many of the US’s biggest technology companies, but will host six World Cup ties next year.

Before and after attending Match 20 at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers, you’ll have lots of time to admire and explore the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf if you wish.

With trusted accommodation and seamless travel, you’ll be able to get the full San Fran experience while hopefully enjoying a good match.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

How does a World Cup match, involving the host nation USA, taking place in LA in the middle of summer sound to you?

SoFi Stadium will host the match, and you’ll get to enjoy three whole nights in the city where the sun always shines on this leg of your trip.

You can explore all that Hollywood has to offer (including Universal Studios), check out Griffith Observatory’s immaculate views or stroll along the iconic Venice Beach. Be sure to pack your sun cream for this section of the trip if you need it – you don’t want to get caught out by the World Cup camera operators looking burnt to a crisp!

NEW YORK CITY

Well, technically the game itself will be at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, but if FIFA is happy to promote it as New York, so are we!

The Big Apple needs little introduction. While MetLife Stadium is technically in another state, it’s not too far to travel from NYC, so you should find yourself enough time to get as much (or as little) touristy stuff done as you desire.

From Times Square to Central Park, the Empire State Building and so much more, this leg of the journey comes with so much more than just match tickets, which seems insane to say when we’re talking about the World Cup!

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

Your World Cup journey will take you to Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles. Known as the birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia is a city rich in history as well as sport.

Beyond the football, you can visit the Liberty Bell, wander around Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed, or take on the “Rocky Steps” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Don’t leave without trying an authentic Philly cheesesteak either – it’s a true local tradition.

MIAMI, FLORIDA

A World Cup in Miami is hard to beat. Matches will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, and you’ll have the chance to combine top-level football with one of the most vibrant destinations in the US.

When you’re not at the ground, you can relax on the famous South Beach, take a walk through the colourful art district of Wynwood, or sample some of the best Cuban food outside Havana in Little Havana itself.

With sunshine almost guaranteed, Miami will offer an unforgettable mix of football and culture.
